Well, we have finally DONE IT!!. Many of you wanted a painted bowl that was food safe. That was not possible..UNTIL NOW.. The bowl in the photo is a representation of what you will receive. Hand carved, these rustic deep wooden dough bowls (bateas) with handles are solid and great looking. The inside color on these bowls will vary from light to medium to dark tones. Because you have been asking for a deeper bowl that is food safe, we've decided to make our deep dough bowls with handles in a food safe option. Let me tell you, it takes a lot of man hours to apply the food safe sealer and sand and sand and sand. They measure about 9-10" wide x 19-20" long. The depth on these beautiful bowls is about 3 inches. Please understand that the sizes will vary slightly. The patina we achieve on the them is beautiful.

NOTE: Please understand that these bowls are a natural handmade product and will never be "perfect" That is what makes them rustic and beautiful. Tone, smoothness, shape,etc, all rustic and never machine made.
